Young volunteers' network is divulged at the World Social Forum

Acting since more than 12 years with young people of all around the world, the ABrasOFFA - Organizers of Folklore and Popular Arts'  Brazilian Association, a NGO without profitable purposes, get to the Porto Alegre Forum with some young from Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, with the intention to divulgate and interchange experiences within the young present at the Forum.

This project has been fulfilled in some countries of the Americas such as Argentina, Paraguay, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Colombia, United States and Mexico beyond Spain and Czech Republic, where the young should articulate the actions proposed by themselves.

All of the young are recruited by the NGO, which gave them a trainee and use the Internet as a work's implement, through programs such as MSN, Orkut, ICQ, Skyppe and others.

Each work is chosen by the own young, accordingly to what was determinate by the project which consists in the Rescue of the Popular Culture. The idea is been fulfilled through concrete actions, where the young research in its own country and send the information by Internet, about its traditions and culture, which can vary since legends, typical foods and clothes, typical instruments, testimonies about different cultural manifestations, handicraft, childish games and much more.

Some of them, as Mexico, for example, are making a great research about their typical food and Paraguay is researching about the Guarani language.

All that material will goes to the ABrasOFFA Research Department, which will prepare the material and put it in the entity' site with the goal to dispose that information for students and teachers.

The project receives Institutional support from international organisms and also received recently the UNESCO's chancel.

The ABrasOFFA acts at Rio Grande do Sul State since 7 years, taking foreigner groups and creating Folklore international Festivals, considering that the Circuit BrasiFestinFolkl/2005 also received the UNESCO's chancel.
